Shariana Ferrer-Núñez is a young Black queer feminist Puerto Rican activist and scholar. She is the co-founder of La Colectiva Feminista en Construcción, a grassroots radical feminist organization in Puerto Rico. Ms. Ferrer-Núñez is one of the prominent figures in the feminist movement in Puerto Rico; she was one of the organizers of the Women’s Strike, May Day, and other radical movements.
Host: Fernando Tormos-Aponte is an Assistant Professor of Sociology at the University of Pittsburgh with specializations in social movements, environmental and ethnoracial justice, the politics of social groups, and social change.
