About this Event
The Ad-Hoc Committee on Fossil Fuels of the Board of Trustees of the University of Pittsburgh will hold an Open Forum to allow members of the University community to express their views and provide input to the Committee related to its Charge, which includes providing the Board of Trustees with “options on whether, to what extent, and via what methods the University, in its Endowment, should consider divestment from fossil fuels in existing and/or future investments.” Read the full Ad Hoc Committee Charge here: https://www.trustees.pitt.edu/ad-hoc-committee-fossil-fuels/committee-charge
The forum will be held from 8:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. and is open to all members of the University community on all five campuses and to the general public.
Up to 500 people can join the Zoom session and 30 speaking slots are available per forum. Register here to attend and/or speak. Speakers will be given three (3) minutes to address the Committee.
If you are unable to attend a virtual Open Forum, but would like to make a public comment on the Committee’s Charge, please submit your written statement here: https://www.trustees.pitt.edu/committee-fossil-fuels/submit-information-committee.
For the benefit of the Pitt community and this process, the Ad-Hoc Committee is committed to transparency.
