About this Event
The Open Online Short Course Development Grant through the Office of the Provost allows faculty to develop non-credit, stand-alone, asynchronous courses designed to serve large enrollments for the Coursera platform. The Coursera platform reaches over 100 million learners around the world. Pitt’s partnership with Coursera provides faculty, schools, and the university opportunities to create innovative learning experiences at scale, share expertise with learners across the globe, and reach students who may otherwise not engage with Pitt.
Grant recipients will receive a $10,000 stipend and support from Pitt Online services to design and launch their courses.
During this session, find out more about the opportunity, the benefits of creating a course for the Coursera platform, and the services provided by Pitt Online Services throughout the process. We will also have time for open Q and A.
Facilitators:
Audra Longert, Interim Associate Provost for Digital Education & Teaching Innovation
Michael Bridges, Interim Executive Director, University Center for Teaching and Learning
Stephen Butler, Director of Online Programs, University Center for Teaching and Learning
