Not Speaking the Same Language?: 4 Steps to Engaging Your International Students

This workshop is also known as “Teaching International Students.” What’s the best approach to take when getting to know your international students, and how might you increase their engagement in the classroom? Come learn about international students and the challenges they face. Learn how to apply a four-step framework for welcoming your international students. Develop a personal plan for your discipline and course to engage your international students.

This workshop may be counted toward the Diversity concentration of the Achievement in Pedagogy badge, offered through the Graduate Student Teaching Initiative. For more information, contact tahelp@pitt.edu.
