Moral distress arises when clinical providers recognize the ethically appropriate action but are constrained from acting due to institutional or hierarchical barriers. This presentation explores a physical therapy clinical case through an ethical lens, highlighting the interplay between patient advocacy, professional integrity, and systemic limitations. Strategies for identifying, managing, and mitigating moral distress will be discussed to empower therapists in ethically complex situations.
