CANCELED: Mark Micchelli Presents Solo Piano Works by Pitt Graduate Composers

Free - Pianist Mark Micchelli will present a concert of solo piano works written by University of Pittsburgh graduate student composers, including Ramin Akhavijou, Jason Belcher, Cullyn D. Murphy, Devon Osamu Tipp, and Emerson Voss.

Mark Micchelli (b. 1991) is a pianist-composer active in the fields of jazz and new music. He is a member of the piano-electronics duo Teeth and Metals, which has performed a variety of fully-composed and freely improvised works throughout the United States and internationally. Mark’s music has been featured at ICMC, SPLICE, the Bowling Green New Music Festival, the Oh My Ears Festival, and New Music on the Point. Mark is currently pursuing his PhD at the University of Pittsburgh, where he splits his time between the Jazz Studies and Composition/Theory departments.
