About this Event
The April Lunch and Learn will explore the topic of exercise and brain function among older adults. The discussion will also explore this topic through the intersection of the pandemic. The Jewish Community Center’s Coordinator for Healthy Aging will also be on hand to talk about the community’s approach to exercise in this past year and as we move forward. The New Pittsburgh Courier will print this Take Charge of Your Health topic in their April 7th newspaper edition.
Presenters
Kirk Erickson, PhD, Professor of Psychology, University of Pittsburgh
Marsha Mullen, MS ATC, Coordinator for Healthy Aging, Jewish Community Center of Greater Pittsburgh
The Clinical and Translational Science Institute at the University of Pittsburgh partners with the Urban League of Greater Pittsburgh and UPMC and puts together the Take Charge of Your Health page in the New Pittsburgh Courier monthly. Our goal with the lunch and learn series is to lift up the community voice alongside the academics presenting their work in the space. We hope to create opportunities to co-create and co-learn around a health topic that is relevant.
