Top Hat's active learning platform can be used for much more than just classroom polling. Instructors using Top Hat can adopt or even create their own e-textbooks. Manish Gaba from Top Hat will be here to discuss low cost, interactive textbooks, covering two particular topics:

• Adopting existing content easily searchable in the Top Hat Marketplace
• Authoring new course content - for professors who either cannot find good material anywhere or have ideas to build a custom syllabus/coursepack/book

Manish will also be available to answer any questions you have about textbook adoption, open educational resources (OERs) available through Top Hat, or partnering with Top Hat to write or contribute to a new e-textbook.

Registration for University Center for Teaching and Learning workshops is mandatory. Registering for workshops ensures the distribution of pre-workshop materials and helps maintain the integrity of our attendance records.
