Listening to Re/search: Reflexive Autoethnographic Methods

This is a past event.

The Humanities Center welcomes Louis Maraj (English) for a workshop.

Registrants for this transdisciplinary incubator will gather to reflect on research, seeking to listen rhetorically to and with data-gathering processes. Our session will consider how positionality, language, ethics, and affect shape our intellectual practices. Together, we’ll explore ways in which these aspects of scholarship might reflexively be used in crafting our specific projects. This workshop offers opportunities for scholars interested in autoethnographic methods to generatively engage ourselves as re/searchers in concert with subjects, spaces, and cultures we study.

Thursday, October 29 at 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
