This session will explore the implications of learning analytics from the student perspective. Discussion topics will include student data collection, data security, the benefits and drawbacks of learning analytics, and how learning analytics are used in research and teaching. Attendees will have a better sense of how learning analytics are used at Pitt and elsewhere, and what ethical concerns might arise in using learning analytics.
