https://www.lrdc.pitt.edu/Colloquium-Series/ ##LRDC #AI #Colloquium SeriesThe LRDC Colloquium Series welcomes AI in education researcher Stephen Hutt, Assistant Professor, Ritchie School of Engineering and Computer Science, University of Denver, who will present “Mind Reading Machines: Understanding and Responding to Students’ Internal States During Learning.” Hutt’s talk will consider how Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques can be used to examine the complex interplay between cognitive and affective processes commonly experienced in learning. He will discuss how we can leverage learning theory to center Humans in the development of AI tools and measurements. Finally, he will place these results into the context of scalable user modelling and adaptive softwareHutt's talk is co-sponsored by the Department of Informatics and Networked Systems (DINS) in the School of Computing and Information (SCI).
