The LRDC Colloquium Series welcomes AI in education researcher Stephen Hutt, Assistant Professor, Ritchie School of Engineering and Computer Science, University of Denver, who will present “Mind Reading Machines: Understanding and Responding to Students’ Internal States During Learning.” Hutt’s talk will consider how Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques can be used to examine the complex interplay between cognitive and affective processes commonly experienced in learning. He will discuss how we can leverage learning theory to center Humans in the development of AI tools and measurements.
