About this Event
You’re invited to take part in the University’s oldest tradition—now in its 106th year. Alumni and Pitt community members will symbolically pass the Light of Learning to the next generation of students, welcoming them to the University community. After the short Lantern Lighting ceremony, incoming students and Flame Bearers can enjoy the new Afterglow Gathering in the Commons Room. Can’t make it to campus? Send a Well-Wish for the incoming class!
This inclusive event welcomes all incoming and transfer students.
