Joy Journaling

Looking for a creative outlet? Wish you had a little more space to enjoy the little things? Have an extra hour? Join the staff writers of Sampsonia Way Magazine for creative writing and artistic expression as we craft writing that explores joy and creativity. Writers of all genres, styles, and levels are encouraged to join.

Join Sampsonia Way Magazine in collaboration with the Center for Creativity for regularly scheduled studio hours, featuring guided creative writing exercises led by our student editors and writers. In our mission to advocate for those whose voices have been suppressed and denied, we believe creative expression is critical to the maintenance and perseverance of the human connection. Our Joy Journaling workshops aim to highlight everyday experiences of joy and wish to supply our community with tools to help sustain joyful creative expression. Joy Journaling is a collaboration between City of Asylum, Pitt’s Public and Professional Writing Program, and is sponsored by the University of Pittsburgh’s “Year of Emotional Well-Being.”

Tuesday, April 4 at 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Cathedral of Learning, B50 C4C: the Understory
Fifth Ave at Bigelow, Pittsburgh, 15213
