Interested in learning how to use generative AI tools to improve the quality and efficiency of teaching tasks? In this short, virtual workshop, we will provide you with some tips and strategies for creating ChatGPT prompts to generate, revise, or critique teaching materials like lesson plans, assessments, and grading tools. This is a hands-on workshop. Participants should create a free ChatGPT account before the session. 

At the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the basic functions and limitations of ChatGPT
  • Employ prompt engineering strategies to improve their ChatGPT teaching prompt output
  • Use ChatGPT to create or improve teaching materials
