New to Blackboard? This workshop provides the information and skills you need to start using Blackboard, the University of Pittsburgh’s learning management system. After an overview of Blackboard and its major components, we'll work hands-on and step-by-step to build a course. This workshop meets in Alumni Hall, B26.

By the end of this workshop, you will be able to

  • Log in to Blackboard, create and organize course content and make your course available to students;
  • Use Blackboard workflows to streamline administrative tasks;
  • Integrate and use the Grade Center within Blackboard;
  • Use predictable course design principals to make course content easy to find and utilize.
