How can we implement lessons learned during the COVID-19 pandemic and apply them to foster a brighter future for women in medicine and science?
The National Academies of Science, Engineering, and Medicine 2021 Consensus Study Report: The Impact of COVID-19 on the Careers of Women in Academic Sciences, Engineering and Medicine highlighted how the pandemic has had a disproportionate and negative impact upon the academic careers of women.
Join us for this special event where Pitt leaders share their perspectives of the pandemic’s impact on female scientists and clinicians at our own institution followed by a panel discussion.
What has the experience been like for women and what can we learn from it to be more responsive to the diverse academic needs of our community in the face of adversity going forward?
We welcome your input and involvement as we turn the page towards a hopeful new chapter that is responsive to the diverse needs of our community!
All members of the Pitt community are encouraged to attend.
