Humanities @ Work in the Community, Health & Tech Industries

This is a past event.

The humanities are essential for fostering engagement, resilience, empowerment, and a passion for learning in the community, health, and technology industries. They also critical for developing essential skills such as critical thinking, creativity, problem solving, and empathy, which are necessary for success in any field.

Our goal in this project is to broaden students' educational experiences and opportunities, facilitating an appreciation for humanities perspectives, skills, and analytical approaches. By doing so, we can also increase opportunities for them in the marketplace.

To fully realize the potential of the humanities, we must centralize humanities education and cross-disciplinary training, and cultivate an interdisciplinary Community of Practice (CofP). This CofP will provide support for collaborative studies, enabling us to develop a shared understanding of the value of the humanities and promote their integration into various fields.Through this interdisciplinary approach, we can create a stronger, more vibrant, and diverse workforce that can successfully address the complex challenges facing our world today.
