Human Performance Lab

The University of Pittsburgh is becoming a global leader in human performance innovation. Pitt possesses a unique combination of attributes that positions the university to develop technologies that can give athletes a competitive edge, while also pursuing applications for the general population.

Join us as we see demonstrations of two projects that involve collaborations between Pitt researchers and Pitt athletic teams that are giving Pitt athletes a leg up on the competition. You will also learn about other performance innovation initiatives underway at Pitt and how you can get involved.

Speakers include:

  • Evan Facher, Vice Chancellor for Innovation and Entrepreneurship / Innovation Institute Director, University of Pittsburgh
  • Chris Hoppe, Executive Associate Athletic Director, University of Pittsburgh
  • Dr. Elizabeth Nagle, Associate Professor, Department of Health and Physical Activity, University of Pittsburgh School of Education
  • Dr. Matthew Darnell, Assistant Professor of the Department of Sports Medicine and Nutrition / Director of the MS Program in Sport Science/Wellness and Human Performance, University of Pittsburgh
  • Dr. Buddy Clark, Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science / Co-Founder, University of Pittsburgh / Diamond Kinetics
  • Dr. Konstantinos Pelechrinis, Associate Professor of Computing & Info, University of Pittsburgh
