How to Increase Spending with Diverse and Local Suppliers

We’re excited to launch a new training series on the topic of How to Increase Spending with Diverse & Local Suppliers. Join Jennifer Barnes, Supplier Diversity & Sustainability Coordinator in Purchasing Services, for the first session on April 12, 2022 from 12pm-1pm via Zoom.  

This training is designed to assist purchasers in supporting the overall University and Responsibility Center-specific goals to increase spend with diverse and/or local businesses.  

In this session, attendees will receive an overview of diverse and local supplier spend goals, learn the basis for the updated University spend goals, and be guided through tools for finding and engaging diverse and local companies. There will be opportunities for questions about Pitt’s diverse and local spend strategy and the resources available.  

Visit the Purchase, Pay & Travel website to view the University’s goals and learn about the resources available to help departments support these goals to increase spending with diverse and local businesses.

  • Register here. Registration is free, but is required in order to receive the Zoom meeting information.
