Honors College Community Café with Hill District CEC - Rusty Cundieff and Linda Addison

This is a past event.

In sponsorship with the CEC at the Hill District and the University Library System, the University Honors College is pleased to announce our February Community Café with Director Rusty Cundieff and Poet Linda Addison! Please register to attend

This event will be hybrid. The speakers will be virtual but attendees can come via Zoom or at the CEC where light refreshments and snacks will be served from 7:00 - 7:30 p.m. The panel discussion will be from 7:30 - 8:30 p.m.

Moderator Steffan Triplett
Steffan Triplett is an essayist, poet and cultural critic with work anthologized in "Revisiting the Elegy in the Black Lives Matter Era" (Routledge, 2019) and the forthcoming "It Came From the Closet" (Feminist Press, 2022). He is the interim assistant director for the Center for African American Poetry and Poetics and a visiting lecturer at the University of Pittsburgh.

Rusty Cundieff
Rusty Cundieff is a multiple award-winning actor, writer, director and producer. He has worked on film features, notably the "Tales from the Hood" series, "Fear of a Black Hat," and "White Water," as well as projects for television with such luminaries as Dave Chappelle. Rusty originally hails from Pittsburgh.

Linda Addison
Linda Addison is author of five award-winning collections, including "How To Recognize A Demon Has Become Your Friend." She is the first African American recipient of the Horror Writers Association's (HWA) Bram Stoker Award Achievement Award, HWA Mentor of the Year Award, and Science Fiction and Fantasy Poetry Association Grand Master Award.
