Honors College Community Café: Food Security in Homewood

The first Fall 2021 Community Café Series event is coming up! Returning in September, the Community Café's goal is to bring local leaders together from various Pittsburgh neighborhoods so students, community members, and anyone else who would like to attend, can come together and learn what these local leaders are doing in their community. Join Jose Diaz from the Homewood-Brushton YMCA and Tacumba Turner from the Oasis Project for a night of discussion on Sept. 21 around food security in Homewood and how these organizations are doing the groundwork to strengthen the community. Leading the discussion will be Amy Blanchard, a third-year student at Pitt University and recent Community Research Fellow who focused on food ecosystems in the Pittsburgh region. Coffee and light snacks will be provided! Let us know you're attending by registering. Questions can be directed to Stacie Dow at SMD164@pitt.edu

Tuesday, September 21 at 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
