In a time of global political contention, being a scholar of the humanities means communicating with public audiences and collaborators whorecognize that this work is essential to describing the present and shapingthe future. This event, featuring panelists who are experiencedinterlocutors between the humanities and the wider world, is intended toinspire conversation about the skills and habits of mind that such workentails. Graduate students interested in diverse academic careers areespecially encouraged to attend. A light lunch will be served after the event.
Panelists: Eve Barden (Film & Media Studies), Keila Grinberg (History, Center for Latin American Studies), Meslissa Lenos (Humanities Engage), and Bryan Paradis (History).
