Artificial intelligence (AI) has been growing in prominence and use in health care, yet lacks consistent guidance on the best use cases as well as ethical means of use. In this talk, Dr. Webber will review the attributes of AI products being reviewed in healthcare and review several cases with different types of AI, identifying both successes and failures.
At the conclusion, attendees should be able to:
1.Identify key attributes of artificial intelligence (AI) in health care technologies
2.Recognize the challenges to patient autonomy and privacy posed by some AI applications
3.Apply principles of medical ethics to evaluate cases of AI technologies
