For one  afternoon a year the Allegheny Observatory becomes the Haunted Space Mansion. The target audience of K-5 children and their families visit the observatory and do science activities with a spooky theme. Many tables will be manned by Pitt Undergrads who want to share their love of science. 

There will be one scary hallway, which will be clearly labeled and easily avoided. The 13" telescope will be open for viewing as it gets dark. There will be treats for participants who complete several activities.

There is no charge, but timed reservations are required and available on Eventbrite. 

The historic building is only partially handicapped accessible. Much of the building will be the same temperature as outside.
