Pitt’s Jazz Program will celebrate the new Martin Shor Fund for jazz students. The event will showcase performances by Pitt student ensembles including; AFROPOP Ensemble, led by saxophonist Ben Barson, a jazz combo led by Dr. Yoko Suzuki, and the Pitt Jazz Ensemble, directed by Ralph Guzzi and Dr. Yoko Suzuki. The ensembles will perform works by drum composers and works highlighting the drum set. The concert will be streamed live from Bellefield Hall Auditorium to the Department of Music’s YouTube page, Music at Pitt.
