Have you wished you could "rewind" a file to a previous version of a file that you saved? Do you want an easy way of sharing your code with others in your field? These are a couple of the many problems Git and GitHub can help you with. Git is a tool for managing and working on files over time, using the concept of versioning. In this workshop, we’ll get some hands-on practice with Git and GitHub. This online introductory workshop assumes no prior experience with Git.

Participants should install Git and create a GitHub account before the workshop.

This workshop is part of our Dealing with Data Series.
