CHEMICAL HYGIENE TRAINING

The University of Pittsburgh’s Department of Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) will provide Chemical Hygiene training, which is required for those working in University of Pittsburgh laboratories where chemicals are being used. 

This training meets the requirements of the OSHA Standard on "Occupational Exposures to Hazardous Chemicals in Laboratories" (29CFR 1910.1450) and the University's requirements for Chemical Hygiene training.

Initial training must be completed prior to any work in a laboratory that may expose a worker to chemicals. 

Bring your Pitt ID and scan/swipe it to receive credit for the training.
