Provost's Fall 2021 faculty development workshop series on Academic and Faculty Leadership

Learn about the range of academic and faculty leadership roles across the University and why you might be interested in and well suited to a leadership position.

Panelists will include faculty members who have held a range of leadership roles, from department to school/regional campus to University-level administration and within the University Senate. They will discuss what those roles entail, what skills they call upon, and what they have found rewarding and challenging in their various roles.

Shelome Gooden, Assistant Vice Chancellor for Research in the Humanities, Arts, Social Sciences and Related Fields and Professor of Linguistics, Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences  

Janet L. Grady, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Professor and Division Chair, Nursing & Health Science, University of Pittsburgh Johnstown

Robin Kear, University Senate President and Liaison Librarian, University Library System

Adam K. Leibovich, Associate Dean for Research and Faculty Development and Professor of Physics & Astronomy, Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences
