We are excited to announce the third annual First-Generation College Celebration Day Luncheon! Join us on Wednesday, November 5, at noon in the Forbes Tower Student Lounge and Atrium.  

The Council for Opportunity in Education (COE) and the Center for First-Generation Student Success launched the inaugural First-Generation College Celebration Day in 2017 to advance an asset-based national narrative on first-generation student experiences and outcomes. This celebration encourages communities to understand the systemic barriers plaguing higher education and better identify the support necessary for this critical and resilient population to thrive instead of trying to survive. 

SHRS strives to create an inclusive environment that uplifts, celebrates, and establishes a sense of belonging for all SHRS community members.
