Finals: Conducting Exams in Blackboard

Thursday, April 9, 2020 3:00pm to 4:00pm

If your face-to-face exams are shifting to online delivery, you may have questions about generating question types, inputting feedback, adjusting settings for the full cohort and for individual students, viewing exam results, communicating expectations and results to students, and controlling the testing environment. In addition to addressing these questions, the workshop will empower you to create exams in the Blackboard (CourseWeb) learning management system and choose an array of appropriate test options. We will also discuss ways to encourage academic integrity and discourage cheating. Workshop

After the workshop, you will be able to:

  • Conduct exams in CourseWeb.
  • Apply strategies to promote academic integrity for online exams.
  • Choose test options that based on your parameters and needs and communicate these to students.
  • Reduce academic dishonesty and plagiarism with appropriate test options.

These workshops are just-in-time, focused discussions on a specific topic related to teaching remotely. All workshops will be conducted via Zoom, are approximately one hour in length, and all times are EST.
