DESCRIPTION:"OOPs\, Everything’s an Object - How to think in an object-orie
 nted way"\n\nAbstract: Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) is a programming p
aradigm that has revolutionized the way developers design and build softwar
 e. At its core\, OOP is about thinking in terms of objects and their intera
ctions\, rather than focusing on individual functions or procedures.\n\nThi
s lecture provides an overview of the key OOP principles. Students will lea
rn how to identify objects and their relationships\, and how to design clas
ses and methods that represent these objects in code.\n\nThe learning goal
of this lecture is to convey a solid understanding of how to think in an ob
ject-oriented way\, and how to apply OOP principles to create more flexible
\, scalable\, and maintainable software systems.\n\nBio: Nadine von Franken
berg is a postdoctoral researcher at the Technical University of Munich (TU
M). She received her B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Information Systems in 2016 and 201
7\, respectively\, and her doctorate degree in Software Engineering in 2022
\, all from TUM.\n\nNadine has a considerable background in teaching\, bein
g the main exercise educator for the largest in-person undergraduate course
at TUM. She has mentored and advised 30+ successful Bachelor's and Master'
s theses and research reports in various fields\, ranging from the medical
domain to building control systems to educational research.\n\nIn addition
to publications on her dissertation's research in human-in-the-loop buildin
g control systems\, Nadine has also published research in software engineer
ing education.\nShe is invested in her students' progress and learning outc
omes and takes care to reflect on and improve her teaching style constantly
