Please join the Matthew B. Ridgway Center for International Security Studies on Wednesday, October 23 at 12:30 p.m. in Room 3800, Wesley Posvar Hall, for a free lunch and an exciting talk, “Exploring Terrorist Minds” with John Horgan, Distinguished University Professor in Georgia State University’s Department of Psychology.

 

Dr. Horgan is one of the world’s leading experts on terrorism and a frequent consultant to law enforcement and national security agencies and practitioners. At Georgia State University, he directs the Violent Extremism Research Group. He has authored eight books and approximately 200 other publications. He is an editor or consulting editor of several prestigious journals, among them Terrorism and Political Violence, American Psychologist, Studies in Conflict and Terrorism, and he serves on the Editorial Board of several additional publications. He is a member of the Research Working Group of the FBI’s National Center for the Analysis of Violent Crime. His research has been featured in The New York Times, Foreign AffairsCNN, PBS, NPR, Vice News, and Rolling Stone Magazine, among others.
