The book club kicks off with a visit to August Wilson's House in the Hill District. For years, work was done in order to restore Wilson's childhood home. The August Wilson House is an important landmark in understanding the living conditions the people of the Hill District endured that he highlights in most of his work. In this exclusive tour, you will have insight to August Wilson's childhood as well as historical contexts at the time. Following the visit, we will begin to discuss his play Two Trains Running. There will be transportation arranged to and from the August Wilson House. You receive a free copy of the play and Honors OCC.
