Engaging Hard to Reach Communities in Research through Community Resident Research Teams

In recognition of Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15-October 15), the Center for Health Equity invites all students, faculty, staff, and community members to this lecture on engaging "hard to reach" populations. 

Speakers:

Dr. Lisa Vaughn, professor of pediatrics at University of Cincinnati College of Medicine/Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, is formally trained as a social psychologist and widely published in the field of community-based participatory research, community engagement, qualitative research methodologies, and social determinants of health adn well-being specifically with minority and immigrant families and vulnerable youth. 

Dr. Farrah Jacquez, professor and assistant head of the Department of Psychology at the University of Cincinnati. Her work focuses on community-engaged approaches to health equity and broadening participation in science and research.
