Have you ever shuddered at the thought of writing an Introduction? Would you rather walk the dog, exercise, or hike Mount Kilimanjaro than write a General Discussion section? If so, you’re part of a boat full of befuddled academic writers. DeWall, whose writing has been published in the world’s leading academic and nonacademic outlets, argues that these writing problems revolve around two problems. First, we lack training on how to write consistently. Second, we don’t have a clear idea of how to structure papers that people want to read. Third, we're confused about how to edit effectively and efficiently. This workshop will show you how to solve each problem.
ATTENTION GRADUATE STUDENTS: Nathan DeWall will be speaking after the writing workshop. Please see seperate event listing in the Events Calendar for details about the colloquium event.
Friday, March 1 at 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
