Ashley R. Humphrey will defend her doctoral dissertation “Take Me Brown Girl!: A Study of the Subjugation and Liberation of Black Women in Capoeira Song” for the PhD Degree in Music. Graduate Faculty of the University may attend and participate in the examination. All Music Graduate Students are invited.
