Free EventJOIN US in creating a large-scale mural artwork that speaks for Pittsburgh’s burgeoning Latinx community. This weekend mural workshop will be led by Gil Rocha, an artist and teacher at the Vidal M. Trevino School of Communications and Fine Arts in Laredo, Texas, who has exhibited his work in the United States and Mexico.
Over the course of three sessions, we will learn about mural methods, generate art ideas, and combine our talents to paint a mural together that will be installed for the public to view during Pittsburgh’s “Unblurred” art crawl.

IRRESPETANDO LA FRONTERA: Taller de murales para la comunidad Latinx de Pittsburgh
ÚNAMONOS para crear una obra de arte mural a gran escala que hable de la floreciente comunidad Latinx de Pittsburgh. El taller será impartido por Gil Rocha, artista y maestro en la Escuela de Comunicaciones y Bellas Artes Vidal M. Trevino en Laredo, Texas, quien ha expuesto su obra en México y Estados Unidos.
Durante tres días aprenderemos sobre muralismo, crearemos arte, y combinaremos nuestros talentos para pintar un mural que se instalará en un lugar público en Pittsburgh.
Viernes, 11 de octubre, 6-8pm -- Primera reunión
Sabado, 12 do octubre, 9am-6pm -- Planificación y pintura
Domingo, 13 de octubre, 9am-6pm -- Pintura final
