What’s power got to do with it?
As teachers and researchers, we put a great deal of emphasis on the nature of the question asked. Often people use diversity, inclusion, equity and social justice as though they are interchangeable terms when, in fact, they pose very different questions. In the end, when you finish your work, will families/communities recognize themselves in your research? In your teaching as projected by your students? Will they know that they have been seen, heard, respected in their wholeness?
