A well-worked-out course/lesson plan will be a core of the teaching-learning process. A detailed description of instructional activities for each class provides a roadmap for the instructor and a structure for the students. It can also help you determine how well class goals have been met.

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Identify the major components of a lesson plan
  • Develop a lesson plan based on their own course’s learning objectives

This workshop may be counted toward the Pedagogy concentration of the Achievement in Pedagogy badge, offered through the Graduate Student Teaching Initiative.
