This presentation will define depression in the context of those newly diagnosed with HIV and discuss how depression impacts HIV transmission and the HIV care continuum. This presentation will also cover screening tools used to identify depression and help identify unique ways to combat depression among newly diagnosed people with HIV. Lastly, we will explore available resources to providers and patients to help overcome depression amongst this population.
