About this Event
As Pittsburgh prepares for the 2026 NFL Draft, North America readies itself for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, and LA looks ahead to the 2028 Summer Olympics, Zirin will examine how global finance, political power, and inequality shape what happens on the field and on the court. With a sharp focus on sportswashing, he will offer a critical playbook for understanding the themes likely to emerge, what to watch for, what to challenge—and yes, who to root for—with discussant Rob Ruck, Professor of History.
