"How Should Equity and Fairness Shape Emergency Standards of Care?" Dr. Nneka Sederstrom, PhD, MPH, MA will consider allocation issues from a perspective informed by critical race theory and the disparities that the COVID-19 pandemic has revealed and exacerbated. Dr. Alex John London, PhD will focus on the relationship between principles of distribution and the moral considerations that might ground or justify those principles. Dr. Sederstrom is chief health equity officer for Hennepin Healthcare System and affiliate professor at the Center for Bioethics at the University of Minnesota. Dr. London is professor of Ethics & Philosophy and the director of the Center for Ethics & Policy at CMU.
