About this Event
This workshop will focus on developing distress tolerance which teaches us how to tolerate and survive situations without making things worse. These skills teach us how to accept and enter into a situation that maybe not be a situation we hoped for or wanted. In particularly, distress tolerance enables us to tolerate painful events, urges, and emotions when we cannot make things better right away. The skills permit us to accept a situation or an event when it is not one we like.
