Dating While Black: Discrimination & Healthy Boundaries within Black Relationships

This is a past event.

Pan African Graduate & Professional Student Association (PANAF) is hosting our first critical conversation panel series during Black History Month aimed at the third principle of Kwanzaa, Ujima. Collective Work and Responsibility (Ujima) focuses on the collective responsibility for both achievements and setbacks in the community. This principle reminds folks that building each other up is the best way to truly solve problems.

PANAF has four panelists who will join us to discuss the celebration and growth of Black love while speaking on the setbacks in the community that can prevent Black relationships from succeeding in the 21st century. Our four panelists who will be part of this critical conversation are:

Dr. Jennifer McPherson (MS, EMBA, LPC, NCC, CDWF)| Founder of McPherson Clinical & Consulting Services focused on the BIPOC community.

Kaz Lucas| Sex Educator| Activist | Pocastor| Content Creator

Ev'Yan Whitney | Sexuality Doula | Activist| Author

Dashawna J. Fussell-Ware, LSW | University of Pittsburgh Doctoral Candidate| Doctoral Fellow in Center for Race & Social Problems
