Abstract: In this talk, the speaker will share his experience on conducting experimental research. In particular, he will talk about three backscatter sensing and communication systems he built in the past ten years and share the lessons he learnt from building them, as well as discussing how he leverages these lessons to expand his research.
Bio: Dr. Shangguan is an assistant professor at the University of Pittsburgh. His research interests lie in low-power wireless networks and embedded systems. Before joining Pitt, he was a senior researcher at Microsoft. Dr. Shangguan received his Ph.D. degree from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2015.
