Creature Felting

This is a past event.

Join us for an introductory workshop on creating 3D creatures through needle felting!

Learn the basic techniques of needle felting and creating structure for your projects. You are encouraged to come to the workshop with an idea of something that you would like to make, and to bring photo references, digital or physical. (Objects should have simple parts, like the bear pictured.)

No prior art experience is required: amateurs and beginners welcome! Materials and supplies provided.

Facilitated by Mike Campbell, Center for Creativity: The Workshop. Mike is an artist with a background in sculpture and ceramic, but he loves to experiment and explore with any media. His art is influenced by his own identity and interest in popular culture and technology.

This workshop is free and open to all members of the University of Pittsburgh community: students, faculty, and staff. Pre-registration is required.

Tuesday, September 25 at 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
