Participants will get the most out of this workshop if they already have intermediate familiarity computers. If you are unsure about whether Premiere Pro is the right solution for you needs, we recommend first taking the Creating Instructional Multimedia: Introduction workshop.
Adobe Premiere Pro CC is video editing application on the Adobe Creative Cloud suite, which is available on all Pitt campus lab computers, and for purchase at a discount at the Pitt store. It offers a variety of useful features for editing and enhancing videos, and in this workshop, we will take a look at some of these features. We will learn how to create, save and finalize a video project, and how to integrate video, audio and image files into your project. We will take a look at the editing tools available within the program and review a couple of quick tips and tricks for making your video editing experience as quick and easy as possible. Adobe Premiere Pro as well as the entire Adobe Creative Cloud suite is available for both Mac and PC.
By the end of this workshop, you will be able to:
- Cut smaller video clips from larger video files
- Add captions, titles, or credits to a video
- Add an audio or narration track to the background of a video
- Enhance a video with still images and cinematic effects
- Publish a video either to DVD or to upload to Youtube or Panopto
