About this Event
Fifth Ave at Bigelow, Pittsburgh, 15213
Please join us in a conversation about the future of the COSA specialization on Monday, June 30th from Noon to 4 PM in Room 2017 in the Cathedral of Learning. We have done a lot of work over the last few years getting feedback students, faculty and alumni and updating our individual COSA courses. Now your voices and perspectives are needed to help us develop a vision for the overall COSA specialization to respond to the evolving landscape of macro-level social work practice.
In this interactive session we will build on our prior efforts through a visioning and mapping process to explore:
Katherine McDonald and Priscilla Rodriguez, current COSA students in the Group/Intergroup class, will facilitate a COSA visioning process using Futures Thinking and Intergroup Dialogue to ensure that everyone is heard. Dr. Suzanne Priztker, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, and I will facilitate the mapping process where we will assess the alignment of our curriculum and vision with our nine COSA competencies. All voices are needed because your experiences are critical to this conversation and re-envisioning COSA.
We would greatly appreciate your participation in this session. Please RSVP by Friday, June 27th using this link: https://pitt.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_cCn3NsLMeHMDF42
We will be serving lunch so please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions when you RSVP.
Thank you for being part of this opportunity to shape the future of COSA. We hope to see you there!
