The Office of International Services (OIS) is presenting the following Cultural Dialogues series as part of the Year of Discourse and Dialogue. In these sessions, a Pitt faculty member will briefly discuss the concepts behind the topics and the framework of American experiences. After the presentation, participants will have lunch and enjoy the opportunity to discuss how the subject is understood in their home culture.

The U.S. is know for its marches, protests, and other acts of civil acts of disobedience. Dr. Kanthak (Associate Professor of Political Science) will present on the types of political activism, many of which you may experience while in the U.S. Discuss how activism looks in your culture and how it differs from other in our community.
