Understanding how early traumatic experiences impact child and adolescent development, identity, and behavior is critical to providing quality mental health care. This training will explore the impact of child trauma on brain development, personality, relationships, and behavior. It will also provide a detailed discussion regarding how early attachments impact mental health and the influence of intergenerational trauma on child and family functioning. This training is appropriate for all mental health professionals working with children and adolescents.

There is no cost to attend the event. Information on available CE credits will be shared later. Questions regarding registration may be directed to Patrick Webster at websterp3@upmc.edu or 412- 439-8580.
